a poem from Benjamin Dean

Short Zen Poems for Meditation - Koans Quotes

De-Liberation

the very act of
de-liberation
(deliberately being)
stifles what I am

this being that I am
is most capable
when it is empty

it is most capable
(this being that I am )
when it has given up
knowing and guessing
surmising and supposing

when trying to catch itself
it will miss
for it cannot both
search for itself
and be known
in the same instance

life radiates OUT
